Rules of your subconscious

Now, let’s truly dive into the heart of the subject and refer back to the subconscious mind and what it is all about in more details.  What you need to understand is that your subconscious mind is way more powerful than your conscious mind, with that said, that’s why it is a good idea for you to train yourself to use it to accomplish more.
To be able to control or understand more your subconscious, ironically, there are some rules or truths you should be aware of that will help you drive your future attitudes, choices, decisions and behaviors. One thing that I am sure you experimented before, is that whenever you have fun somewhere you always feel like time flies, and if you are at work, five minutes will seem like an eternity, right?  This is the result of your subconscious mind not having a sense of time like your conscious mind does.  Most likely if you are enjoying yourself, you will not look at your watch constantly, however, if you are bored or waiting in line at the DMV, you will probably consciously look at your watch so often that you will become aware of how long you have been waiting. Another example of the power of your subconscious mind and how it truly affects you, is how it can overpower your conscious mind.
In fact, if you are subconsciously feeling scared or anxious about specific things, like alligators, even if you encounter one and you heard that they don’t attack humans unless you bother them, you will feel afraid anyway. That’s because your subconscious is already programmed that way. Next characteristic of your subconscious mind is that it can sometimes be overpowered by your conscious mind (the opposite of what we just mention above).  In cases like where someone is boarding a plane but terrified of the idea of crashing, the more that person is trying to convince herself that the flight will be a smooth flight, the more the subconscious fear might resurface even more.  If the person simply starts reading, watching a movie and forget about flying over the Atlantic Ocean all together, the conscious effort will be differed from the original bad thought of crashing, and that might just do the trick. Next, the subconscious works in a way that even if you are facing a pretend situation, it may not recognize the difference.
If you are sitting down to watch a scary movie, even know you are conscious and aware that this is not the reality, and that you will not be physically harmed by watching the movie, you will most likely feel in real danger. It is simply because your subconscious mind is not able to recognize the difference between real life situations and visualizations.  Interesting, right? Now let’s talk about nutrition for a minute.  Obviously what we consider healthy food has changed a lot of over the last decades.
For example, an egg used to be considered for a while as a food item exposing you to more chances of heart attack, stroke and diabetes.  Now, there is a saying that preaches that an egg is almost the perfect food.  All these changes of opinions are due to the emphasis on lowering our cholesterol and so on.  So, if a simple idea like  an egg is bad for you is settled in your subconscious mind, in a conscious manner, you will avoid eggs probably all together, until it becomes socially and medically encouraged again, then you will be aware of the new reality.
So basically what happened is that your subconscious mind has been faithful to the idea of associating eggs with unhealthy, however now the new idea of eggs being healthy for you will be implemented in your subconscious mind and you can consume eggs in peace again.
Even if your subconscious mind can lead you to bad decisions or strengthen some bad thoughts, I will voluntary skip this part of the subconscious rules.  The reason why I am skipping over it is not because it is not true,  Let’s focus on what you can get out of controlling or programming your subconscious mind.
